Reclaiming the Dancefloor: ‘Last Bus Home’ Daytime Clubbing arrives in Sunderland this June
Sunderland – Get ready to relive your clubbing glory days — but without the late-night hangover. Last Bus Home, a brand-new daytime clubbing event, is set to take over Independent on Saturday 14th June from 3pm to 8pm, bringing with it a full-on throwback to the soundtrack of your youth.
Designed for the 30+ crowd who still love to dance but prefer to be in bed before midnight, Last Bus Home promises five hours of pure, nostalgia-fuelled fun. Expect a wall-to-wall mix of 80s and 90s anthems, expertly curated by local legends Loud Not Loud, spinning a blend of vinyl and digital across pop, indie, and classic dance.
With a nod to Sunderland’s legendary nightlife heritage, the setlist will revive floorfillers from venues like KU Club, Chambers, Blue Monkey, and more — all blasted through Independent’s industry-spec PA system and full club lighting rig for that authentic clubbing atmosphere.
Whether you were a regular on the KU stairs or danced your nights away under the Blue Monkey mirrorball, this is your chance to go back — all before the sun sets.
Tickets are limited. Don’t miss Sunderland’s biggest daytime party of the summer. We will of course be finished in time for a curry batter bun at The Silver Grid, and the Last Bus Home.
